| Irisin

Irisin is a cleaved version of FNDC5, named after the Greek messenger goddess Iris. Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5, the precursor of irisin, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is encoded by the FNDC5 gene.Fibronectin domain-containing protein 5 is a membrane protein comprising a short cytoplasmic domain, a transmembrane segment, and an ectodomain consisting of a ~100 kDa fibronectin type III (FNIII) domain.

The recovery of Human Irisin spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
