| Pro-Col Ⅰ

Procollagen Type I (Pro-Col I) is the precursor of type I collagen, synthesized as α1/α2 chains from COL1A1/COL1A2 genes. Its structure includes signal peptides, propeptides, and a central triple helix. After extracellular secretion, propeptide cleavage enables mature collagen fibril assembly.Critical for skin, bone, and tendon integrity, Pro-Col I defects cause osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bones) and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hypermobility). Its levels reflect collagen metabolism in aging, fibrosis, and cancer, serving as a key diagnostic biomarker.

| Linearity
