Asc-type amino acid transporter 1 (Asc-1) is a protein that is encoded by the SLC7A10 gene.SLC7A10, in association with 4F2HC, mediates high-affinity transport of D-serine and several other neutral amino acids.iseases associated with SLC7A10 include Cystinuria and Hyperekplexia. Among its related pathways are Transport of inorganic cations/anions and amino acids/oligopeptides and Response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+.
