| BAFFR

B-Cell Activation Factor Receptor (BAFFR) is a membrane protein of the TNF receptor superfamily which recognizes BAFF, an essential factor for B cell maturation and survival. It is encoded by the TNFRSF13C gene.B-cell activating factor (BAFF) enhances B-cell survival in vitro and is a regulator of the peripheral B-cell population. The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for BAFF and is a type III transmembrane protein containing a single extracellular phenylalanine-rich domain. It is thought that this receptor is the principal receptor required for BAFF-mediated mature B-cell survival. In B cell maturation, due to regulation by BAFF-R, only a limited amount of B-cell will survive.

| Repeatability

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%

| Recovery

The recovery of Human BAFFR spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

Sample Type Range(%) Average Recovery(%)
Tissue Homogenates(n=8) 93-105 103
Cell Lysates(n=8) 96-108 105

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human BAFFR and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.

    Tissue Homogenates(n=4) Cell Lysates(n=4)
1 : 2 Range (%) 88-96 90-110
Average (%) 93 96
1 : 4 Range (%) 86-108 105-115
Average (%) 97 108
