| PSEP
Prostatic Exosomal Protein (PSEP), a lipoprotein-coated subcellular structure secreted by prostate epithelial cells, is released into the urethra through exosomes and mixed with urine 23. Its levels increase significantly with prostatitis or injury and have now become a novel marker for non-invasive diagnosis of chronic prostatitis.Synthesized from the Golgi apparatus of prostate duct epithelial cells and discharged into the duct lumen by exocytosis.PSEP can effectively inhibit the activity of viruses and also has an antibacterial effect, which can protect sperm and enhance their vitality. When the prostate is inflamed, this protein will be released from the prostate into the urine, and then we can detect it. It is an important means for diagnosing chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.| Typical data
As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.| Concentration (ng/mL) | 10 | 5 | 2.5 | 1.25 | 0.625 | 0.312 | 0.156 | 0 |

| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Human PSEP spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.| Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |
| Urine(n=8) | 84-101 | 96 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human PSEP and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.| Urine(n=4) | ||
