| IFNα-1b

Interferon α-1b (IFNα-1b) is a recombinant humanized type I interferon with broad-spectrum antiviral, immunomodulatory and antitumor effects. It is the first genetically engineered interferon subtype developed independently in China, and its gene is derived from healthy Chinese umbilical cord blood leukocytes. It is more suitable for Chinese population ‌. By activating intracellular 2'-5' oligosine monophosphate synthase (2-5A synthase) and protein kinase R (PKR), it degrades viral RNA and inhibits viral protein synthesis ‌. Effective against hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), etc. ‌.
