| TRAP-5b

Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase 5b (TRAP-5b) is an enzyme specifically released by bone-resorbing osteoclasts and activated macrophages, with two distinct circulating isoforms: TRAP-5b derived exclusively from osteoclasts and TRAP-5a originating from macrophages, serving as important biochemical markers for bone metabolism assessment.
