| NMP-22

Nuclear mitotic apparatus protein 1 is a protein that is encoded by the NUMA1 gene. Nuclear mitotic apparatus protein 1 has been shown to interact with PIM1, Band 4.1, GPSM2 and EPB41L1. This gene encodes a large protein that forms a structural component of the nuclear matrix. The encoded protein interacts with microtubules and plays a role in the formation and organization of the mitotic spindle during cell division. Chromosomal translocation of this gene with the RARA (retinoic acid receptor, alpha) gene on chromosome 17 have been detected in patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human NMP-22 and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
