| HAV

The core-shell antigen of hepatitis A virus. If the tested specimen tests positive, it indicates that the specimen contains hepatitis A virus and is contagious. Testing fecal specimens can determine the detoxification status of the person being examined.HAVAg is an icosahedral particle with a diameter of 27-32 nm, containing single-stranded positive RNA in the core, without envelope, belonging to the genus Hebovirius of the family Micrornaviridae ‌, antigenicity is unstable and gradually decreases or disappears with antibody production after infection ‌.

As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. | Recovery

The recovery of Human HAV spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human HAV and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
