| LDH

Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH or LD) is an enzyme found in a wide variety of organisms, including plants and animals. It is present in four different enzyme classes, two of which are cytochrome C-dependent enzymes that act on D-lactic acid and L-lactic acid respectively. Because it is released during tissue damage, it is a marker of common injuries and disease such as heart failure.

As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. | Recovery

The recovery of Bovine LDH spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Bovine LDH and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
