| FMDV-Ab

Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) is an acute, febrile, highly contagious disease affecting cloven-hoofed animals (cattle, sheep, pigs, etc.). Classified as a Category A animal disease by the OIE, it severely impacts livestock health and international trade, with significant political and economic consequences. FMDV has seven serotypes (O, A, C, SAT1, SAT2, SAT3, Asia1) with no cross-protection, meaning infection with one serotype does not confer immunity to others.

As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.

| Recovery

The recovery of Pig FMDV-Ab spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
 

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Pig FMDV-Ab and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
