Hepatitis B surface antibody is a protective antibody, primarily produced by the body's immune system in response to stimulation by the hepatitis B surface antigen. Its presence can neutralize the hepatitis B virus within the body. When the hepatitis B virus invades the body, it stimulates the immune system to generate an immune response. B lymphocytes in the immune system differentiate into effector B cells (plasma cells), which secrete a specific immunoglobulin G—this is the surface antibody. It can specifically bind to the surface antigen, and then, through combined action with other immune functions in the body, eliminate the virus, rendering the body no longer susceptible to hepatitis B virus infection. Therefore, the surface antibody is referred to as a protective antibody.

| Recovery

The recovery of Mouse HBsAb spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
