| HBsAb

The hepatitis B surface antibody (HBsAb) is an immune protein that protects against the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It neutralizes HBV by binding to its surface antigen (HBsAg), blocking infection and aiding viral clearance.During natural infection, the immune system recognizes HBsAg, a protein on the viral envelope, and produces HBsAb to neutralize the virus. This antibody specifically binds to HBsAg, blocking viral entry into liver cells and facilitating immune clearance.

The recovery of Mouse HBsAb spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Mouse HBsAb and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
