| HPV-Ab

Papillomavirus is an unenveloped DNA virus belonging to the genus Papillomavirus of the Papillomaviridae family. This type of virus infects the epidermis and mucous membrane tissues. Currently, about 170 types of HPV have been identified. Sometimes, after HPV invades the human body, it can cause warts or even cancer, but most of the time, there are no clinical symptoms. There are approximately 30 to 40 types of HPV that can infect the genitals and surrounding skin through sexual activity, and some of them can cause genital warts (commonly known as cauliflower). If one is repeatedly infected with certain high-risk HPV types without symptoms such as warts, it may develop into precancerous lesions or even invasive cancers.

As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.

| Recovery

The recovery of Human HPV-Ab spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
 

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human HPV-Ab and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
