| NTX

Type I Collagen Cross-Linked N-Telopeptide (NTX-I) is a stable end product of bone collagen degradation that appears in urine following hepatic processing. It primarily reflects osteoclast-mediated bone resorption activity and can sensitively detect changes in bone metabolism. As an important parameter for evaluating bone resorption in histomorphometric analysis, NTX-I is currently regarded as the most sensitive and specific marker for assessing bone resorption status. This biomarker is particularly valuable for monitoring conditions with altered bone turnover, such as osteoporosis and metastatic bone diseases, providing clinicians with a reliable tool for both diagnosis and treatment evaluation.
