| IgG2a

IgG is the most abundant among the five types of mammalian immunoglobulins in serum. The IgG molecule (approximately 150 kDa) is composed of two heavy chains of about 50 kDa and two light chains of 25 kDa, which are connected by disulfide bonds. The specificity of antibodies is jointly endowed by somatic rearrangement and hypermutation within the variable region. Approximately 64-78% of the amino acid sequences in the heavy chain constant regions (CH1, CH2 and CH3) of mouse IgG isotypes IgG1, IgG2a and IgG2b are the same. And there may be differences in interactions with complement, NK and mast cells, induction or inhibition of specific cytokines, and the ability to cross the placenta.

| Recovery

The recovery of Mouse IgG2a spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
